    I had a newer ram truck with a power tailgate lock befor my Tacoma . Kinda on par with the same sound . There’s not much in there to absorb any sound . Kinda like yelling in a can .

    What is the spacing between the mounting holes for the actuator?
    I bought my harness without the actuator...
    I just want to make sure mine will bolt up to the bracket.

    @Panchovilla6192002 looking at the bracket you could most likely drill the holes wherever needed on the mounting surface of the bracket.

    Mounting plate is at 2 7/8 Long by alittle over 1 inch wide . Hope that helps some .

    I would be more concerned with the different distance/spacing for the length of the stainless steel connecting wire. How easy would it be to bend that wire if need be to accommodate a different actuator?

    You can make the rod shorter if needed . I bent all the rods by hand using pliers. I left one end of the rod open so it’s easy to slip on the actuator and than squeeze it closed .
