    I know I defiantly don't, I'm never gonna be around rocks or anything real crazy. I had E's on my 2nd gen in 265 and I found them really rough !

    Winter average 18.3mpg warmer months 20.2mpg.

    Hey guys, need a quick answer. I’m at a tire shop and am trying to read thru this thread but my connection is trash...

    I need to grab some tires, but was always planning on getting them after my lift. Guess what? Shit happens and now I have to wait for my lift. I’m trying to figure out something bigger that won’t look so bad when I do install my lift. Probably going to use some 5100s - nothing crazy. I’m running stock 265 65 17s on sport wheels. Can anybody recommend something quick?

    So biggest I can run on stock height that won’t look too bad on 5100s. I know the answer is within these pages so sorry for the stupid post.

    265 70 17's will fit well and won't rub at all while stock (I'm running the 16" equivalent tire at 265 75 16). Looks decent after my lift, but do think that I'll move toward a larger tire soon.

    285/75/16 with 1.25” wheel spacers. Only rubs in full lock turns over a bump. City driving 85% of the time so mileage sucked before. If I cared about gas mileage I would drive something else.     Running 33’s with levelling kit.
    Are you using spacers on this set up? I only have a levelling kit installed. I would like to have the wider stance however.

    Do bigger tires really make that large an impact on mileage? Is that the only change, or did you lift it too?

    I'm not questioning your numbers, to be clear. I'm just surprised the tires make that much of a difference.

    It also depends on the load rating of the tires. The more rubber a tire has, the heavier it is as well as more surface touching the road, so more torque resistance. Bigger wheels also means added weight as well.
