I took mine out when I first got it around 17th street on a smaller day. Was out by myself. 2 dudes on short boards come up and sit at the same peak as me idk why they had everywhere else. I was sitting deeper cuz wavestorm. Get up and make a drop on this wave that they didn’t think I’d make, surf it pretty well and then they paddles away from me lol

 

Soft tops are the best kind of surfing craft

 

My wavestorm blew away and/or got stolen. I’ve been between buying another or just ponying up the cash for a catchsurf log. My girlfriend would be riding it the most as I’m tryin to teach her so wavestorm is a good cheap option, but I also want the catchsurf log for better performance.
You been out recently? Was hoping to go this morning or tomorrow with the offshore flow but my neck and upper back have been fucked and I got a beach volley tournament on Sunday so don’t wanna risk hurting myself more

Will do, I haven't been out as much as I'd like to lately. Senior year along with college plans have been taking up a lot of time

 

Yeah i've heard that from multiple people. Been lurking craigslist for a one not too much has popped in that in my area (SLO COUNTY) but i'm gonna keep looking!

 

Gotta look cool tho man haha yeah 7'6" is kinda what i'm shooting for

Nice! I've been talkin with @Prayn4surf trying to find myself a good summer board. CI is doing a demo tour and will be in Costa Mesa early May so I'm gonna go try and check out a couple boards I've had my eye on. Really liking the Ultra Joe but we'll see

 

Those are rad! Are you taking custom orders?? I've been looking for something similar to that left board for a while!

 

yea man. Honestly, We’ve only built like 15 boards. But they turn our pretty good and surf well. Boards are cheap (Charged 300 for that fish in the middle) because we’re not pros and are still learning.

We build them in pb /la Jolla. It says your local to San Diego too. Your welcome to check out the boards to see if you want one. I’d be happy to make you something. turnaround time is a month-ish.

Just looked the shape of ultra joe up. Looks like a perfect summer shred stick. A higher performance tail on a fuller front end

 

Would possibly be interested in takin a look at some of your boards to place an order as well.

The Ulta Joe looks super fun. Downside to getting yet another CI board though is dropping another 600-700 bucks.

I’ll be surfing my fish all summer as soon as I get the ok to surf again from my doc. Should plan a San O day or something or tw Baja trip
