The shocks are the portion that are adjustable...
Top photo are Fox shocks that are adjustable - see the threads at the bottom?
Bottom photo - Are these Bilstein 5100's?? They have 3 notches in them and can be "turned-up" as well....

Ride is great, I have lots of steel plates, bumper and winch. Just purchased these now.

Yes the ones on the bottom are my 5100's set on the bottom notch. Where as I would love to go up a notch and get a little more lift in the front everything works perfect like it is. I see what you are saying with the Fox struts now it looks like the lower tube is threaded. I had to enlarge the screen to be able to see it. Old eyes forgive me.
Yeah I'd love to get a little more lift it dropped a little after skids, sliders, bumper, and winch but not much it never looked like the 3" it was supposed to be. Sliders and skids don't effect it much as the weight is back under the truck but bumper and winch can. In my case the bumper is aluminum so not nerely as much it just looks worse after the addition of the 700-1000 pound Deavers in the rear.

@Casper66 - whoever did your lift should be able to give ya a little boost, .85 inch lift per notch (or so).

**I ran into this issue when I put my 5100's on the middle notch - You may need upper control arms if you decide to lift it more. They will essentially not have enough movement because they will become maxed-out on the bottom end, won't have as much flex. Every decent sized bump in the road felt like a hard hit in the front end. After market UCAs (Camburg, Icon, JBA, Pro Comp, ect...) that are designed to correct this issue helped tremendously.

There are MANY good posts about this on tacomaworld.

*+*+ EDIT - I see you already have Camburg UCAs. GO FOR IT

They are AllPro, but you can build your own for about $80 bucks or so. Everything can be ordered on-line.

What you have is not even remotely close to what he has. You should really be able to see the difference.

Because they were not designed to carry this much weight. It only rides good because I got a ton of weight hanging off the front.

I do all my own work mechanically and welding and fab work. Hell the only reason I bought all the armor is I don’t have a brake or tubing bender here at home. I did what you are saying on my last Tacoma and moved the Billies to .85 and it put my lift where I wanted but as expected putting any preload on lifting coils made it ride like a tank. I have thought about popping these out and trying it though I can’t lie

Thanks. It's stiff when we off road and I know it would be much smother if I just removed the sway bar but pulling trailers especially when we pull our camper off road has me very leary of removing the sway bar.

Yep I couldn't see the threads until I enlarged the screen. I've done suspensions with Bilsteins, Icons, and Kings even did a King +3.5 LT once boy that was a bit of work. I've never done Fox and never saw the threads. May be time to look at new gasses

out of curiosity, how much did it run you to have the body lift installed at the shop? Got a 3rd gen and im thinking about getting a 3 inch body lift and I wanna get a ballpark estimate and see how much it costs.

1” TOYTEC is pretty cheap and super easy to install.
