He was worried they may try that, but with brand new tires and a brand new frame going on the 08 this month, it will be like having a new truck. Hes even tossed around the idea of selling the 92.

They give you a time estimate for how long it'll take to do the swap? I hear some get done in a couple weeks where others take several months.

 

30 days. This dealer always has a pile of frames both new and old out front so Id say they do quite a few. Which is kinda odd for NC. But the 08 spent 8 years in upstate VA and NY which explains it. My buddy had an 08 as well, but from NC and that frame was mint.

 

Did you get that rust on your frame checked?

 

No real need to. I was trying to pound a screwdriver through it, still seems very solid. Im gonna get some 3m scuff pads for my die grinder and take care of it. Followed up by some chasis paint and primer with fluid film on top.

 

Im up in Roanoke for the weekend so I havent seen it in person.

About out of it thankfully. There was a tornado 20ish miles south of me in Franklin county around lunch and lots of flooding both here and back home.

 

And so begins the 91 Octane.

All things considered, it could have been alot worse. The tornadoes that have formed have all been relatively weak. Not like the one that destroyed a good chunk of my city this time last year.

 

Wait you installed the supercharger already?

 

No, but I want to flush the 87 out of the system before I install the supercharger.

I dont even think supreme was at $3.00 yet. @btbowie has that real cheap VA gas though. A good 10-15 cents cheaper up here.

 

I’m not even in San Francisco, that gas I got is on the cheaper side in the suburbs of the bay.

 

That pic I posted is one of the more expensive stations in town. I only go there cause my truck gets a good 1-2 mpg higher on BP gas as compared to Sheetz or Speedway.
