I wouldn’t consider an MT in any of my vehicles, after giving up MT’s at the drag strips years ago, AT’s are durable, quicker and reliable.
My taco when first driven I didn’t care for the programming so I had the TSB done on the TCM and it’s a night/day difference.
Different strokes for different folks as they say, you just have to decide what works best for you, make your own decision and pull the trigger.

    Good Luck!

My '19 TRD OR AT is my forth vehicle and the first AT - I'd never go back to a MT unless it was a vintage/project vehicle. There are many advantages to an AT offroad, not to mention the fact that an AT is much easier to live with during ONroad daily commuting. I will absolutely NOT miss the horrible and thankless job of dropping a tranny to replace the clutch, flywheel, throwout bearing, etc. My suggestion: don't pick MT over AT out of pride. Despite much grumbling otherwise, the AT in these trucks isn't bad.

It's all personal preference so there is no right or wrong choice.

    Story over.

I hate the trans programming. Started driving mine strictly in Sport Mode and wouldn’t go back. Im getting better gas mileage and it’s a much more driver’s experience controlling the gears.

If I could do it over I wouldn't listen to my other half, and just get a manual and deal with her nagging for 15 years. Lol. Automatic sucks nuggets and costs $800 to fix with some dudes software flash. So for now I just stick it in ECT all the time.

Pretty much my feelings as well. As far as daily drivers go, my MT days are long gone. Have no issues with the AT in my 3rd gen. It's a great truck and I love it.
