Mine came out of the box with a little corrosion on the shock body...not too bad, but still there! I'll try and snap a picture later.

No, she compared all shocks and I could have bought Kings, Fox, or any other. I was actually on the fence with the Bilstein 8112's. Im not sucker for marketing

Anyone know where to find rear shock shields vs boots for the 2.5 shocks? I only see 2.0 fox shields

So with the hose rubbing on the coils, how did you guys adjust it away? How much can you loosen the nut?

You can loosen it just enough to turn the hose away from the coil. I think it was somewhere close to tight but was still able to turn

Quarter-turn, if that. I didn't lose a drop of fluid.

Easy to adjust but be careful and have something on the fitting that you can quickly tighten just in case you end up doing what I did and spray yourself in the face with oil. It was all going fine until i started to turn the hose and it must've loosened it just barely enough to give my beard a nice spray of oil and the taste wasn't too good either, it also didn't help that in the panic of trying to get it tightened again that I twisted the fitting the wrong way before realizing what I was doing. Called ADS to ask if it would be any issues or anything and they said it was no big deal unless I lost a large amount.

9EE1FC48-8BBC-48DA-8A10-A83649DA9BC0.jpg I just got my front ADS coilovers, with resi's and no adjusters. I’m trying to avoid the kinked hose issue a lot of people have had. What did some of you with 3rd Gens do? Did you remove the sway bar for the reservoir bracket? Seems like a lot of people are saying the hose is too long.

    All the things!
From the looks of your hoses and the angle of the fittings at the top, you'll be just fine. The non-clicker resi's are less prone to "kinking" as the hose comes right out the end. The clicker versions, the hose has a 90° fitting that causes the hose to get pointed in a bad direction.

I have the exact same coilovers... my advice is to install the resi in the mounting bracket (ADS logo facing out) and then move the whole bracket and resi into position. Whether you keep the sway bar or not has zero effect. If you keep it, be sure to use the relocation brackets. I also had to trim a portion of my fender liner, for the resi mount to sit flush against the frame.

Those look like they r ready to rock...

Taking the sway bar off will allow you to configure the resis just right. Have the mount on and your clamps loose after you have the coilovers already put in the truck. The hose length is fine as long as you have the brackets slid all the way forward to the front of the truck.

Observe how the mounts go below. The angled edge goes forward. Make sure the hose doesn’t rub on the coil.
In this pic I have about 1/4” from the coil

Also make sure the hose is rotated inward towards the engine as best as possible so your tire doesn’t hit it at full turn

How are you liking it driving highway? I tried it for a day, but it seemed dangerous with a child in the truck.

Have you got some miles on the truck without it so far?

Yea been off since I had them installed. Took a week or two getting use to and I can’t really tell the difference honestly. There may be a little more play hitting a bump but nothing crazy. Got about 2-3k without it

More play hitting a bump? Seems like there would be less bump-steer with a full independent suspension. Do you feel like bumps are more or less noticeable?

Just a little bit of wheel play that’s what I meant. Bumps aren’t more noticeable.
