Meh, my Grandad owned an R Model Mack with a 5 speed in it for some time back in the day. But there really is nothing to splitting gears, just like driving a normal manual trans. Once you drive it and get used to it, its a piece of cake.

 

My uncle told me it essentially a 9 speed but each gear has a "low range" side of it. And you only need that on heavy loads.

Corolla is doing the 150 mile drive everyday

 

BRZ versus the 5-Lug was a big learning curve. I'd have to sink the clutch in on the 5-Lug significantly before it would engage, if you just lightly tap your foot on the BRZ clutch it engages.
