Mine was born with one. Didn’t make it or break it..
    No glare, no blind-spot.

    Wouldn’t pay more for one.

Wife picked out her 4R last week. Had to have scoop..
    go figure

The hood scoop thread is very popular, mostly people looking for a scoop trade. I've seen trades from straight up to trading hoods with $500+ cash on top.

The scoop is like plastic surgery for a woman. Even though we all know it’s not real. But, dog gone it. We can’t help not look........... :)

    I don't think I want a scoop, but I do love the look:anonymous:

But, but, if it was functional, all the HPs would be mine.

Id have a skewp if I could for a reasonable price, I like the look, like so many others. As for the "functional" crowd. I had a functional scoop on my S2000, they aren't going to make the difference people think they are. Unless your pulling that air onto a TMIC. Otherwise they functionally get your engine bay all dirty.

Never! Drove 1 TRD Sport, and could not stand the obstructed view. Bought the TRD off-road because it’s not scooped.

The scoop comes free with the 6MT on the AC.
IMO everyone makes too much out of the scoop.

3rd gen scoop is too big, like the grill, IMHO. But not a worry for me, as I'd not buy a 3rd gen anyway.

The 2nd gen scoop looks nice to me. But I'd not really pay to have one *unless* I was building out a street truck (think X-Runner-ish) AND I could figure out a way to give it some functionality.

Like on the Hilux, where the innercooler lays on top of the engine right under the scoop, and helps that turbo out.

Yup, I had a WRX with the scoop feeding the intercooler. Even then, the intercooler worked better down low in the bumper

    Here we go again... :crapstorm:

These types of threads are basically resulting Sport tacoma owners are shit tier unless you have an off road to go to the mall and buy your kids clothes. Because you know? You need a rear locker for anything related to the tacoma or you're screwed.

    /s

In the end. It's your truck. Do as you please.

They make those Buick portals you could stick on too. Equally as functional.
