Ive got a 09 dbl cab. Ive had this system for a couple months and im not impressed.

I want chest thumping, eye rattling bass. :headbang:My only catch is that i want to still be able to use the back seat and I am not going to cut the back of my cab.

Anyone have any ideas? ill buy all new stuff and totally rebuild my setup.

I would look into a ported box. Taco tunes makes one to look at, but it looks like you have the skills to build a better one. Try to sqeaze in a 12 inch sub for it. You will pro able need to relocate the amp tho.

Mike, lets do some tuning and stuff at the meet next week. Then maybe we can come up with an idea if we can't get more out of what you currently have.

Did you ever find something better? I have 2 12 inch Image Dynamics IDQ12v3's with a Jl Audio 1000/1v2 behind the rear seat of my 09 dbl cab. I'm pretty sure it's about the most boom possible for the factory look but I'd beinterested if anyone has figured out another way.

Those subs are rated somewhere around 200-250 watts rms with single 4ohm voice coils try a monoblock amp 500watt rms @ 2ohm and wire them parallel. That gives you a little room to play with as far as power is concerned. If that won't do it go for a couple JL 13 tw5. Just got to figure out your price range first.

The problem is you just simply can't get BRAIN RATTLING BASS with a shallow mount. If you could, there would be no such thing as big subs with huge enclosures. EVERYONE would be cashing in on the shallow mount that takes up very little space. However, I just installed the JL Audio TW5 in my reg. cab. Its expensive with a price tag of 500 but you can get it for 400 online with box included... takes up VERY little space with .80 cubic feet. This sub is the top of the line as far as shallow mounts and the best IMO. It will rattle shit in your car thats for sure but it's not going to compete with an L7, W7..etc.. I've got the new Rockford 750 watt pushing it and my gain is set at 1 right now during due to break in period and it still rattles shit in my truck. Anybody that is interested in a Shallow mount should give the JL TW5 a good look.

Slams is so subjective, I don't see a shallow mount being capable of it

I'm not in the game for car audio anymore but id imagine 1 12" sub in a sealed box would be your best bet. I don't know what brand to tell ya but I've always heard good things about JL and memphis. I know memphis monoblock amps are pretty tits. Friend of mine had 2 virtualtech 12s n a memphis 1000d in an explorer. 148.7db
