Have had my 2013 SR5 4x4 DC since new and for a brief time "loan" it to my eldest while he was away at school (Gig'em).

Finally got it back and started a resurrection of sorts. Started off by adding Kicker 6x9's in the front doors and Kicker 6.5s in the rear doors. Made a good enough difference but being form the old school of car audio (think: IASCA/TOW etc.) that wasnt gonna do.

Had a couple of components sitting in the garage that will be going in later this week. Already wired the truck with Power/Ground and Remote. Even ran the Sub control knob only thing left is the Line output converter and finish the sub enclosure for my two 10" subs that will be run at a 2ohm load(corrected).

Really...Really wanted to use the an old Lanzar Opti drive 150 from the days they were a brand who was respected in the audio world (yes i just dated myself). If you dont know what Lanzar USA is, ask your dad! It just wasnt in the cards.

    updates will follow:

Little help with vibrations was in store. And yes the anchors were hammered off.

Pre fab enclosure from Amazon fit really well. Sounds good but will need some poly fill to smooth out the sub roll. All that is left is a little tweaking of the sound and a cover board to hide the top area between the window and enclosure.

Covered the top portion where the body meets the rear window for a more finished look.

Added a "subwoofer" push button switch to turn off the amp. Thought it came out pretty sweet.

relocated the sub controller to a more appropriate location.

Very cool build! I have a subwoofer revamp coming up soon as well and will be using a Skar Audio monoblock 1200.1 amp to drive a 900 watt 2 ohm DVC Memphis Audio 8" Mojo M6 subwoofer with a direct venting voice coil style venting wired to 1 ohm. The enclosure I will be using is a custom Zen enclosure single sub to flat wall style box. That will let me run the speaker and subwoofer amps right next to the sub but I'll need to do some rewiring in order to run this setup reliably. I am overpowering my current setup using the stock JBLsubwpofer box and the current Polk MM1 842DVC sub I have is just not able to keep up with what I am demanding out of it.

With all that power out of the little 8" competition style Memphis sub I am going to need to line the rear with some sort of Dynamat as well and will most likely use Noico back there and on the roof as well to prevent the cab from sounding like it is going to be blasted away to Kingdom Come.

I love Memphis stuff as well. They make some seriously well built products which I believe are usually underrated. I I will do! I will likely be posting it either on my build or make a new thread. I just got the upgraded power amplifier yesterday and just barely got to opening it to inspect it today. Tomorrow I get the sub and then after that I will be waiting on the box. More to come soon! :)

Nice work. Now that JL four channel I have leftover from my last vehicle is calling to me.

As I promised. Here it is. This is my DVC Memphis Mojo M6 mini 8" 900 watt sub. This is what this bunker buster looks like in comparison to a Rockford Fosgate 200 watt P1S4 8" SVC I used to run in the truck. I decided to name this thing "The Ex Wife."

Installed some 50mil Killmat today. Made a really solid difference in the sound response from my door speakers. Mid-bass really improved and the overall sound quality improved. Installation is a killer on the knuckles but worth the work. Took all of about 3hrs for installation.
