I have an FFL license, and have ammo shipped to my door in this state. I usually order through Target Sports, but there are others with good deals too. Use ammoseek and you'll see. Also, look into an FFL03 and COE.

Reading about the background check for ammo in Cali, does it matter if you have a concealed pistol permit if you buy ammo?

Hahaha that guy is obviously not a thinker. He didn't even have a license to carry in the first place.

 

Right, plus it's so uncomfortable to appendix carry sitting. No matter how skinny you are. Most people move their pistol to 3'oclock when they sit.

 

I've never understood appendix carry anyway. Maybe I'm too small-framed, but it's always looked like I've got a colostomy bag (or a gun, lol) under my shirt or something. The only way I can conceal is untucked, between 5 and 7 O'clock, unless I go for an ankle holster or wear a jacket.

Not a big loss, though, I guess. In the event of an AD at least I'll only be sacrificing my shapely butt and not anything more...vital.

 

While appendix carry looks cool when you draw and is said to be faster, it doesn't work with my tactactic muffin top, so placing my "shapely butt" in harm's way.

I'm really curious why I have such a good time with appendix and others don't. I'm 5'9" 180, and have had no issues concealing appendix. I've had people claim they're too skinny, too fat, too tall, and too short. The only clothing change I had to make is not wearing shirts that reveal my lovely love handles. Mind you, you gotta buy a good holster and experiment with the claw and wedge to figure out what suits your shape best, but other than that it has been the least involved form of carry I've tried. Everything else required attention while out and about to stay covered, and always with more printing.
