    True story...I'm hauling a load from Laredo, TX to Penetanguishene, Canada. I was going to cross the border in Detroit so I stop at our terminal there and leave my gun and radar detector because that's a no-no up there. I get to the border checkpoint feeling good. I'm legal. I give the Mountie my paperwork and drivers license and he goes inside the hut. Next thing I know four of them are coming towards the truck. They want to see my passport. Huh? I've never even seen a passport. Well, what are you doing in the USA without a passport? Uhhh I was born here. Then why do you have a New Mexico drivers license? Hello, NM is a state. They go back inside and I see the one guy on the phone. The first guy comes back, hands my stuff back and says have a safe trip.
