I really think it depends on the shop. My gut feel is that a insurance type repair place would be around 800$ whereas a restoration shop would be more like 400-500. I have a great guy for stuff like this, but hes in orange va

Hey Turin, just to carry the question over from Baby Shark thread... With those stupid squeeks which showed recently, should I also consider changing bearings and misalignment spacers?

    Aaaand, sorry for spamming...

    No worries.

What UCA and LCA do you have?

How certain are you that it's coming from the shock?

I've never heard a shock bearing make any noise, although I suppose it's possible. If you want to do a full rebuild I'd need to order those, if we just need to change one or two because it's loose I've got a couple spares on the shelf.

One thing I'd do before anything else is drive through a couple mud puddles (the siltier the better) and see if that makes it go away. That's been my go-to for both dakar and uniball squeek.

At this point im not sure of anything anymore lol.
Stock lca, JBA UCA (greased recently), Dakar squeek present, but this squeel was new. When I rocket the truck I've heard it coming from the front, that reminded me of David's dry lube idea. When applied, sqeak went away.
I didn't check if anything was loose, since I still was able to see paint markings on bolts/nuts. I should have checked anyways though .
