Haha I'm hoping its that easy...but rather get the knowledge before I bust it open. Don't have them in front of me, so I'll go break one open in a little while to see what it looks like and try not to zap myself.

    It will be...

And they'll end up with one less friend after two months of being without a bathroom.

    Fuck em

The last clown who said "oh I could get that done for a lot less than that back in California" guess if any work has commenced on his project in the 7+ months since. :D Oh, you couldn't actually find a volunteer for that project. Bummer...the longer you let it sit, the more it'll cost you when you do cough up the money to do it.

Modded it to fit...didn't mess with electronics since it seems to do the job with them in tact.

Bid a steam shower early last year, somewhere in the range of 35k, guy thought I was fucking insane, so I said cool man, best of luck. Heard through my friend who initially referred me to him that he found a guy to do it for 11k. Guy called me three weeks ago asking to come out and give him a new bid to redo what the 11k dollar man did :spending:

Yep, ends up costing more in the end.

Guy thought a new deck bid was too high. Hired some crackheads at the beginning of last spring for half'ish of our bid (we would've been done within three weeks). They wasted a ton of material (that owner was paying for), deck was wavy and not level, and they basically gave up and didn't come back after 3.5 months of "working on it." They called us to fix it, ended up spending double our original bid to get us to fix as much as we could without tearing it all down to start over. They didn't get to enjoy the deck at all during the summer.

But at least they saved money... Oh.. Wait...

I blame stupidity as much as the fix and flip shows on tv. People think, well they redo a whole house in 2 days, so everything else is easy and should be done in a day.

What are you trying to do? Why couldn't you use it "as-is"?

It was too large to jam down to the water between the wall of the riser and piping/wiring that was frozen in place.

The "outriggers" are to shield the heating element from touching any plastic or piping.

Wonder where the hell he lived in California to say contractor work was cheaper there. Only thing cheaper is fire and that's free because they have no water to put the fires out :cookiemonster: ....or he lived there in the 70's and thinks prices are still the same

Sure it was just a made up statement to justify being dumb.
