Working on this van is good enough reason for me to wake up early.

That ain't my van, I learned my lesson when it comes to buying cars. Civic is going bye bye and 5-Lug is probably going to Indiana. Keeping my trailer.

The reason I'm more excited than Miguel is because I get to work on something cool without all the hassle of ownership.

I didn't realize you need a vehicle to ask questions on a forum.

It's not the rack I hate, it's the welds. Damn those are some ugly welds.

I act like I can weld better than that...

I don't own it, "we" implying I'm not the owner.

I wouldve used "my buddy" or "he". Using "we" makes yall sound like a couple. But its okay, cause that forum was a ghost town.

Plugs actually aren't that bad, the whole passenger side floor pan comes out with a few bolts so you have access to the entire engine.

I actually prefer this setup to the Sienna.

You need an account to view it for some reason, I couldn't view it myself till I logged in.
    Over my dead body.

Eh whatever, saying "we" was easier to get my point across. I was just asking if there are any other Toyota vehicles of the same era I could steal parts from, just like we can use 3rd Gen 4Runner parts and other 90's Toyota vehicles

The shifter looks like it is straight out of a late 80's Corolla, the HVAC panel looks like it's from a Pickup, just didn't know if they'd work.

Parts are straight impossible to find for these vans. Toyota stopped selling them stateside in 1990-ish.

What would be cool is a 3RZ swap with the W59. The auto this van has only has 4HI. The manual version has 4HI and 4LO.

I'm pretty sure I've been to more junkyards than most people on this thread. I have never seen a Toyota Van at junkyard before, there are lots of the JDM Hiaces driving around San Francisco but I never see the USDM Toyota Van.

That's mainly why I asked about part compatibility with other 80's era Toyotas. I'm hoping it's built on the Hilux/Pickup platform.

Not worth it. I had them and didn't notice much of a difference from stock.

Tundra is the way to go, it really isn't that hard to swap calipers. Just a few extra steps.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
They're cheap because they're trash haha. If they were even a quarter as reliable as a dodge avenger or a a 10 year old BMW then they'd be worth a lot more haha
