Notice that the episodes I mentioned are only (mildly) funny in retrospect.

It is now.. happened when I was 13. Went to the range with my dad. He let me shoot it for a bit. He turned around for a moment and I decided to shoot a steel target... ricochet came back and right through my right calf.

Now imagine a kid, hopping around on one leg, waving around a loaded ar15... everyone hit the ground....

My dad still gives me shit for it to this day... lol

And about me mentioning being sprinkled with birdshot while dove hunting...
Small birdshot, like #7 1/2, #8, #9, rapidly run out of steam after 50 yards or so.
And can nevertheless carry for well over a hundred yards.
So no harm done.
