Is there a mod to make the stupid "fasten your seatbelt" light quit blinking?

So I'm a law abiding citizen and all but seriously, I hate that stupid blinking light.

 

Take the bulb out.

 

Fasten your seat belt, light stops blinking

Unplug the electrical connector at the base of the seat belt buckle. On my 04 this worked fine without affecting the airbag. On a second gen, not sure what would happen.

 

Yeah, I figured I get some of this but seriously. I live in an area that is off the beaten path and I don't always feel like dealing with a seatbelt, especially for a short drive where I'm only going 5-10 mph. Trust me, I wear my belt 99% of the time but just wondering if there was a quick wire to cut or something instead of taking the dash apart to get to the bulb. Seems like there is a mod for everything else.

Take the bulb out. Takes all of 30 minutes to do and you might as well change your dash light color while your in there.

 

Don't even waste your time with the bulb.

Agreed, takes less than two minutes to unplug the connector under the seat. One of the fisrt things I do to every car I've owned. Have a feeling it won't work on my next one though.

Yeah, I unplugged the little 2 prong connector underneath the drivers seat and the little annoying light quit blinking at me.

I'm not anti-seatbelt I just hate the idea of my vehicle trying to tell me what to do. One of our work trucks is a domestic full size truck and it is constantly flashing stuff on the odometer display area like "time to change the oil, service engine soon" and the omni-present "washer fluid low." Not sure if 2nd gens do this but I'm sure glad my 1st doesn't have this option.

Sorry, I went off on a little rant there.
