Yesterday I signed my last carpayment and can now officially say that this is my truck. This is my second vehical but my first tacoma and I love it. I bought it almost exactly a year ago and havent really done to much to it but now that im going to have some extra cash, let the ugrades begin. so here it is, my 1999 toyota tacoma extra cab V6 prerunner SR5 TRD.
The day I brought it home.

First riding trip with it. got some free seat covers from a friend to protect the leather, but i really want different ones. Hopefully some wet okles.

First time in the dirt at West camino ceilo

One of the first things I did was upgread the headunit to this pioneer premier.(a bad pic)

Then I put in four Infinity Kapa 6.5" speakers
    [IMG]

Next I got the front windows tinted to 15% and took the side tacoma and SR5 decals off.

Lastly I picked up a K&N cold air intake from my buddy for $45. Its nothing special and I wasnt planing on ever getting a CAI but for the price I couldnt find a reason not to. Sounds great, Idk about power increase and so far no MPG increase either but maybe thats because I've had such a heavy foot lately cause it sounds so good.

Wheeler 5 pack with ome 881 coils up front
    Bfg all terrains 33s
One JL 12" sub with a custom box
    Hurculine the bed
all im waiting on is the money

Its an awesome feeling to know that its all yours - just paid mine off a few months ago as well. And then immediately dumped more money into suspension parts...love what I got and it looks like you're getting the same setup. I know I'm glad I made the upgrades, good choices!

It is a great feeling and a weight off my shoulders to not have to make payments every month.
I know you said you where still having problems with a drive train thump, have you come to any conclusions or solutions? is it still axle wrap?

It is nice not having the payment looming over your head every month...but the 'extra' money still seems to disappear.

I love the new suspension, don't get me wrong there. It was a necessity to make the purchase and I know I made good, solid choices. I'm 99% sure that the current issue is not axle wrap - before there was the thud noise AND the feeling of being rear ended each time I hit the brakes now its just a thud. And it happens when I'm at a complete stop, shifting gears or when I'm in traffic and stopping. No diagnosis yet, just going through the rear end one moving part at a time until it goes away.

Nice man, Thats pretty cool that you could do so much to your truck while your still paying it off. Maybe thats just my college student mentality.
