Installed My New Train Horns Yesterday

So i got my "Shocker" Train Horns in yesterday from hornblasters.com. Its the "Conductors special model 232", and this thing is out of control loud! i havent gotten around to making any "scare vids" yet, but i will. i figured until then I could at least post up some pics of the install. let me know what you think.

and here's the loud button! i got an engine crank button (a mechaincs tool) from harbor freight and just used that instead of the toggle switch included with the kit. i like this setup a lot better.

Your not planning on adding sliders or side steps down the road are ya?

 

no plans for steps or sliders. not much of an off road-er. just the occasional desert shooting trip and im 6'1'' so i dont need the steps, but my 4'11'' girlfriend wants them, but too bad haha!

Damn I would get in some serious trouble w/that horn..........

 

Im wondering if road acids and salts would shorten the life of those horns-especially them being directly in the path of the tire?

not really sure about road acids/salts. i live in vegas and dont have to worry about that stuff. but as a precaution against mud and road crap, i faced the horns to the back so stuff doesnt get inside them. the tech support at hornblasters could probably do a better job of answering that for you.

i will make some sound clips soon. i doubt the microphone on the camera or any set of computer speakers can reproduce the actual sound though.

this is defenatly on my list of things to do very soon! ive already got a few under my belt, me and my brother came across 3 highschool aged girls and blasted them, and they all screamed and started running hahaha!!

 

I want some to blast the drivers I see texting. Make em' shit their pants.

 

X1000000. just make sure you have an escape route......it will likely make them jerk the wheel

 

that is funny...i had a semi truck with a train horn and when i would go through a tunnel..i would blast that horn...i scared the crap out of people ...so just be careful with your fun toy

 

just remember alot of places within city limits air horns are illegal (which is why big rigs also have electric aka 'city' horns), make sure no fuzz is nearby when you shoot your scare vids... which i am eagerly awaiting

 

howd you mount the horns? just drill through the frame?
