Boulder, CO. You have to work for all that vert you see though. 2750ft of climbing, and descending. If anyone needs some Boulder riding info, just ask.

Anyone here ever travel to Europe with a bike before? I’m planning a month in June. Flying to Vienna and driving to Romania. I think most of my riding will be in the Carparhians, and there very little intel about the area.
Never travelled international with a bike before either.

If you squint real hard you can see Denver in the center of the pic.

    Good eye!

What’s the elevation? Haven’t tried above 8k yet. Thinking next weekend.

Berry Creek tops out at about 8,400'. About a 1,200' climb from my house in Edwards. Nice quick loop. Downhill is all fun nontech singletrack

If I had one guess I'd say that's Heil, but I'm a skinny tire rider so what do I know. Could be Hall. Too far north for Betasso.

I need to start getting dirty one of these days.

Man, yall in the Rockies... kinda jealous.

Never been to Colorado. Being Navy, all my travel was coastal.

Id only be able to deal with the locale a few months a year though. I am definitely cold blooded.

I have a Kuat Transfer 2. After using it extensively for the past year, I'm pretty damned impressed with it. At its price point, I had to buy a locking hitch pin and lock kit (2 cable locks) in addition, though, but they weren't that expensive. I believe they have a swing arm accessory as well.

Do you keep the rack on 24/7? (It covers your plates right?)

Yeah, guess it depends. I got pulled over in the next town, with a rear rack, and a partially blocked plate.

No, but it can be on for weeks at a time and for 1000’s of miles if on a road trip.

I just use a bolt with the right thread pitch and head sized for a deep-well socket that fits the inner diameter of the steerer tube... speaking of which, I must add the disclaimer; star nuts are only for metal steerer tubes... I know you didn't specify, but I've seen it happen. The results were not pretty.

I have in the past. I don't really like to because I feel like its hard on the rack.
