Someone was banned recently for ‘violating BST rules’ when there’s no explicit rule he violated, and even the vendor stated he didn’t have a gripe with it. No warning either, and first ban.

I don’t have a horse in this race, but not all bans are created equal. Stairgod was dumb as shit, and got the boot. Pretty easy to not diss the goodwill of a vendor and mod. Even the other ban they’re referencing of yours was a ‘quit doing dumb shit’ ban.. until it was repeated.

 

Am I the only one that would like to know the full story then why Stairgod got the perma when what he said was far less confrontational than the opinions expressed now. Considering his orig. post seemed to be on point.

 

The thing I never understood was the reason it went straight to perma. It was a temp ban (in which everyone then started talking shit on him just as badly as he was talking shit on other people, if not worse), then unbanned, then perma'd all within a matter of hours? It seemed he was speaking his mind on a certain situation and because no one liked what he had to say he was banned for it. It's not like he was maliciously attacking or threatening anyone, just seemed like he had an opinion that was the polar opposite of everyone else's. But I digress, it seems it is what it is and if Jon is fine with it, then so am I.

I think you missed the point of his original post in that thread when the sell off started. If you looked at the BST thread in recent months I think he was spot on with his assessment of what was happening.

 

I already know the story... was present when it happened.
He said what he said in the wrong place and wrong time. Was warned, then went back to his local threads and continued to raise hell and also in PM's I believe. Said some more and got the boot.
