Do I recall someone mentioning a coupon code for the FSR tents? Buddy of mine is potentially looking to pull the trigger on one.

You will need to call directly, ask for Casey, and mention "greatwhite10" for 10% off.

Sweet deal! Post up some pictures if/when your buddy gets it

...Having dozed off to sleep, I was awoken by an unusual sound about an hour later. It sounded like small grains of sand landing on the tent and rolling down the rain fly. Rain? No - it definitely didn't sound like rain, which lands with a single drop. A squirrel in a tree above, dropping pieces of pine cone on the tent? I didn't think I'd parked under a tree...

    Back to a Roofnest?

I just sold the Sparrow X. Just my personal preference on some quality things. The ladder broke on first test, because it was riveted (and maybe im just fat haha) i fixed by drilling the rivets out, and replacing with bolts.

Also, the mattress cover felt like an old shirt. Comparing to previous FSR tents that I've had, theirs had a nice diamond stitch pattern.

The material sides of the Roofnest were nice; 2 doors, and the front/back windows were not actual doors, but windows.

Ive already ordered the auto M49. Still a hardshell (just not fiberglass). Same as pictured, but a harder cover.

i love those tents, just wish they came a tad wider/longer. Wife and I kinda like our 56"x96" CVT

Tough to beat when you're tall like me

So what does everyone suggest as far as an aftermarket leaf pack to support added weight? I probably have 250 pounds from just the bed rack and rtt, not including all of the camping gear.

Whatever you choose, just be sure that there is silencer pads in between each leaf. I chose the OME heavy pack for mine and they didnt have any silencer pads in between each leaf. They squeaked like crazy!

I'm in the same boat, I grease the hell out of them. If I were to do it again I might go a different route. They definitely helped me with the weight of a shell, bumper, RTT and gear.

I have the heavy pack with extra AAL. It squeaks but its aftermarket, so it wont be perfect. I just come to accept that

Mine never made noise until this winter. Assumed it was salt and sand in there. More of a creak than a squeak.

Not as bad now after a few car washes. Planning on going to a self serve car wash and jacking it up to unload the suspension and spraying out the springs then treating with fluid film to see how well that works.

Yeah, no way I could fit in ones that don’t fold open.

Do you have lights in your tent? If so, how do you have your power ran? What do truck guys do?

I just got a little bettery powered LED lantern. Smaller than a tennis ball and it hangs from the top of the tent frame. I probably replace the batteries once a year (or less) and didn't have to do any wiring. It stays attached to the tent when I fold it up and is always in place when I open it back up. Super simple.
