Last time i was at Uwharrie to wheel was 2005, the walls on Dutch John then were about 4-5ft tall, they were 2-3ft when i started in ‘98.....

Rocky Mount Loop still included Kodak Rock which had been hogged out and multiple bypasses either side had been made and closed off.

The Rocky Mount hill climb up from 553 before the double parking lot the walls were about 4ft high.

Dickey Bell wasn’t all that treacherous and had a nice rock garden midway up the hill that was fun to play on. We used to camp on trail side at the top of the hill.

just sad to hear how hogged out the trails are now

so last year this happened to my wife’s key....
    7D037AA3-61D0-42B8-B542-79BA81FDFE72.jpg
the remnants broken off in the door cylinder.
one of those things that i just haven’t “gotten around to” as she isn’t hip to driving my boat of a truck (her words, compared to the 4Runner she DDs)
i finally got another key made and programmed and the old one extracted, in the process, had a regular key cut.
low and behold, holding the old head up to the ignition cylinder with cut key while cranking, she starts and runs, and stays running when ya let it drop.

now to find replacement fob so she doesn’t break another key off in the door.....(only got one with the truck)
