I believe you can still order them as a fleet option on the 2500 and 3500, but that's it. Their website would tell all lol.

I’m mostly joking. You may not have been here in the heyday of Smitty harping on about his Taco.

I drive an F150 for work, and agree. The truck drives very nice.

I have also driven a new Ranger the company picked up (1st one in BC) and didn’t like it at all. It might need to break in, but the powertrain was herky-jerky and not smooth at all.

Oh I was lol. Don't worry. I just exited the third gen clusterhump right around when they hit the pavement. I didn't have time for that level of silliness.

The local dealer here has a hand full of Rangers. I don't think anyone is buying them though, because while they sit near msrp, the F-150s are 10k below msrp right now. You'd have to really want a ranger to pay more than the same trim F-150 sitting next to it.

Apparently, they made one and took it to Moab. Called it a J6. That was blue, though.

The Lariat FX4 is a silly price. I saw one here that was $49K CAD sticker. That being said the Tacoma is no better at about that for the equivalent Limited without a locker. It's always been the case that a fullsized truck with middle of the road options, which now includes Sync 3 (which is awesome for the remote options) and heated seats, prices out lower after discounts than the top end midsized trims.

Yep the ranger is a complete joke in terms of sale-ability and its the reason they scrapped it previously. Dealers dont even want to use up inventory space for a ranger when they could have an F150.

It’s a double whammy, because the resale value of that $50K ranger is going to be $25K in three years, no matter how good it is. It’s just the way it is with Ford.

Two door Wranglers aren't that bad once you get into the rear seat. They list the legroom back there as 3" more than the Tacoma double cab. The newer Wranglers have a longer wheel base than my 98.

It's the getting back there I'm mostly talking about, especially if the tops on. If it's off and you're throwing kids back there it's good.

    I seen a 2016 F150 FX4, big cab longer box 6.5 ? And it was only like $25,000. I couldn’t believe it. I was looking at a 2012 Taco around Christmas with 130k and they wanted $26,000

We shall see. The Colorado actually holds value well. I don't see the Ranger being that cheap after 3 years. It'll probably lose 35-40% of value and not 50% but that's still crazy.

If it's over 100k KMs they go cheap. All of the fullsized trucks at that mileage tank since that's when most fleets unload them so there are a lot of trucks available fairly new at that mileage. What you don't know is if they were maintained and you don't want an Ecoboost that was not maintained.

The Tacoma black book must have some wild ass algorithms to come up with prices.

Since they have started $2000 Rebates this early on the Ranger is certainly not going to help resale values.

Meh, they did the same thing on the Colorado. Last year the wife and I toyed around with getting her a Diesel All Terrain Canyon and there was $3,500 in factory incentives in September before even talking price. Now I think they're getting worse though. I know when Ford had a deal with Costco it was $500 off cars, $750-$1000 off of CUVs, and $1000 off of trucks so things were up front. Now that GM has that deal I heard the dealerships each have a custom Costco price sheet. Sketchy as hell considering it's not readily available.

Any word on any package changes in Canada for 2020? Like a DCLB Off-road ? Or a manual DCSB Offroad manual ?
