First post, just picked up a 2014 base with 7k miles on it.

Just installed the sos performance -2 inch kit on it with bilstein shocks. Then threw on some mustang gt wheels I had laying around.

Just got the wheels. Gonna check them this weekend. The offset is 5mm higher and the hub bore size is 1mm off so hopefully everything checks out. Gonna give it a go this weekend and give an update

That’s exactly right. The hub bore on the maxima is 66.1 and Tacoma is 67.1. Think I’m just gonna run a spacer to compensate for the offset and hub bore. Maybe run a 5mm. I think they’ll look great just gonna figure something out. Didn’t put any lugs on it. Any ideas on what I can do or am I on track with the spacer idea??EB361CCB-1D51-49F6-A897-AC5454CFB9FA.jpg

Decided I’m not gonna run any spacers. Just gonna try and find something that’ll bolt right up. Save and get xxrs or something. Gonna work on suspension as of now

Has anyone done anything as far as air bags in the rear of a 5-lug second gen?

I just lowered my suspension two inches and when I'm hauling my race bike, generator, spare wheels canopy etc... there is probably an inch of clearance from the wheel to the fender.

If anyone has any ideas for air assist or even just a little bit stiffer in the rear it would be greatly appreciated. Its currently lowered with sos performance rear blocks and the xrunner kit in the front.

you can run just hub rings instead of spacers to get them to fit the hub better.

Ford Crown Vic wheels and Mercury Grand Marquis wheels will fit as well if you're looking for something cheap and an upgrade.

there are Sumo Springs.. they help with additional weight and have seen them in action with great results. They might be too tall tho for a lowered application. I'm not sure..
