Having only experienced 1st and 2nd gens, I like them both. Would love to go blast around in a 3rd gen for a bit, but haven't had the chance.

I do love my wife's 2018 Highlander, which has the (Same motor, different tune?) 2GR-FKS mated to a velvety 8 speed auto.

In 20 years, I doubt anything with a combustion engine will still be valuable or beloved. So I doubt it.

In 20 years there’s a good chance we won’t be driving gasoline powered vehicles.

I doubt we're using hybrid engines either, by that point.

If I had money laying around I wouldn’t put it into a 1st gen Taco so they have no appeal or value to me. The people I know with them either have frame rot or keep breaking LBJs, and those yellowed headlights and Camry styling are not all that appealing. I’d pay maybe $2200 for one if it was absolutely mint.

That's good and will only get better. As will the recharge time.

Well the recharge time is a problem to right now because most electric vehicles take about 8 hours to recharge
