Spent the weekend pulling wire, and continuing other projects and updates... and of course, getting called in to work.. not even on call....

Snuck a quick ride in on the lead-sled....needs a front isolator, but, other than some cosmetic, that is the worst of it.

Good (late) evening, hope everyone had a good Easter. I haven’t had a chance to get on here much lately other than quick check-ins and likes. Been really busy at work with construction ramping up and sneaking in some time on the project truck. So it’s coming along. Ended up finishing the frame up including new brake lines and eliminating the factory proportioning valve and going with a manual valve from Jeg’s. Works awesome. Here’s the finished frame...
    F8BBE747-E82B-4DF8-A293-3CA86BD40CD6.jpg

Next came the parking brake. That wasn’t too bad...... then for the biggest hurdle was the oil pan. Holy crap was that a lot of work. The sump portion on the oil pan is welded. The seam had rotted causing oil to constantly leak out. What a mess. In the 2.7 the oil pan will not clear the front dif even tilting the engine up. The entire dif has to be removed to swap the pan. It’s about an 8
hour job start to finish. But worked out great. Nice and dry now.

Lift is in now so got about 2 1/2 inches out of it. Put everything else back together and lined up the bumper....

Most of this past week was a little body work (minimal) and prep. Sanding......lots and lots of sanding.

So finally painted it Saturday. Came out “OK”. It’s a 20 footer for sure. (Looks good 20 feet away lol). Shines good though.

Couldn’t help it.... been waiting so long to get the wheels on.
    1FDDF04C-A2E0-46AD-A725-EC9FDF2F553B.jpg

    Started putting her back together.

Grill and bumper just hung quick. Need to adjust everything before making it permanent. Finally seeing a little light. In the home stretch now. It’s come a long way from when it showed up....

    Sorry for the long post.......

    Morning all! Happy Monday...blech.

Rainy weekend, but we had some warmer weather at least. And at one point yesterday it wasn't raining, though, and was quite nice out. The bees took the opportunity to blow out of the hive and do some foraging, and everybody was coming back with day-glo yellow legs from the pussy willows. Was neat to see them working over the Daffodils and the Hyacinth in the front yard, too.

The cat, I think, is just as interested in them as I am. I caught him a couple of times just chilling out in front of the hive, watching them do their thing.

Pardon the blurry pic; digital zoom can only do so much

Yep, things are starting to grow around here as well. Lawn will probably need mowed here within a week.

Looks like a lot of people got crafty this past weekend. My pop was in CA for the holiday and my mom goes with the stepfathers family for Easter so I was left to myself, which was perfect! Got a lot done on the boat, but also opened up more canned worms. The scope has expanded slightly.

    Got the decks complete:

Rear deck is fully installed, new access hatches and some bilge work done... good to have half of it installed:

Bow deck is complete and ready to go in after some work on the hull:

The real nightmare has been the upper cross brace that turned out to have a lot of rot:

Had to use my imagination recreating it:

That piece is going to be real nightmare to go back in. It's bolted and has blind nuts that I don't know how I'm going to be able to reach under the gunwales. Stay tuned!

Today was a good day (so far and hopefully I didn't jinx it)

Was talking to builder and he said they should be done inside mid week. Which means I can get sanding/staining and finishing our floors! That will basically be it, I think all the final plumbing and electric are this week. Or at least far enough along for CO and us to move forward, get the floors done and then start moving stuff in.:bananadance:

We have been trying to get a lot of topsoil for the yard work to be done so we can get a dog fence and some grass going, been impossible to get our hands on enough dry stuff without landscapers taking everything that is available right now. He also told me to reach out to our IT guy who is also family friend, turns out he has 225 yards of unscreened topsoil he doesn't want and is free to me if I will get it out of there for him:eek: So that will be going to our house and will be topped with a couple inches of screened for seed. Huge money savings as we had to truck it anyways and this is closer, and contractor has the equipment to load everything. Again, this gets us moving forward and I need to get packing! So far I have done nothing

    Good morning, thanks guys:)

You know, I just can’t help it but I think it’s screaming for some black stock fender flares. Ugh, now I gotta look for another thing . What do you guys think? Flares? No flares? I know some guys take them off and prefer it without.
