Went for an interview at a body shop yesterday. It was interesting. Spoke with the manager then he had me speak with the 2 senior techs and said he may want me to come in and work a week to see how it works. I kinda wanted to get away from that and really don't feel like having to buy tools anymore but i guess we will see.

You can never have enough tools. I understand where you’re coming from. It will take the pressure off. Just don’t stop looking.

I wouldn't have to buy a whole lot. A tool cart, I have always worked out of boxes, cordless impacts and other tools as he said they don't use air much, and I am sure some automotive sockets and stuff I don't have but not alot. The body shop job would be just doing body repairs no assembly/disassembly, priming, blocking, or painting.
My delima is I went for an interview for a job that is a complete departure from everything I have ever done and I really like the idea. I interviewed last week for a position at a winery starting making wine but then transitioning into makeing beer and would end up basically running the brewery. Funny I hardly ever drink but I find the process to make the stuff fascinating. They said they have a couple more interviews to do and I should know in the next 3-4 weeks but the HR lady told me they liked me so much they wanted to go ahead and check all my refferences and move forward so I must have done pretty good.
What I see happening is the body shop said they may want to bering me in for a week to see how I fit in and work and then offer a permanent position. I see me getting the position and then the winery offering me a position. I know they say that is how buisness works now start a job and then find one yo like more so you quit and move to the other. I just never have liked the idea of committing to one and then quitting.

    Morning all

Here I am cutting out sugars, starches and fats trying to eat healthy and keep the pills to a minimum.

My 93 year old Mother just had me go to the store and buy 30 bucks worth of candy.

    Something is wrong.

The winery sounds like a better deal

Yes it does and I am actually excited about it so it will most likely not happen. I have been debatng, in my head, if i should email the HR ady at the winery and offer to come work a day for free helping bottle or something just to get a feel for some of it. I'm afraid it'll seem too pushy though. IDK

    IMHO
There are times when the honorable thing to do will not benefit you.
This is one of those situations.
    Once committed you go.
However in this day and age it means shit.
At this time in your life you need to back off on the grunt work.
I would not say anything to anyone.
Do the week you need to do at the shop.
And then by that time hopefully an answer will be forthcoming in the wine area.
Then say simply I like the place but my body won't do it anymore and leave on a good note.
If your getting excited about a wine deal then why go with the same shit?
I would keep both options open and fly low for now
