This thread will mostly be for those of you running 5100s and 888 spring who have noticed settling.
I'm on 888s in the front and Dakar HDs in the rear and have noticed the 888s have settled a bit and the rake has become too noticeable for my liking so I'm going to be moving up a clip to counteract some of that settling. If you've already done this, pics would be awesome, otherwise stay tuned for my pics once I get this done.

Im actually about to do the same. I have 5100s with 888s on the bottom notch. Im going to be raising it up once I add my winch in a few weeks.

Very nice. Yeah that seems like a valid reason to do it. Are you going to take height measurements prior to putting the winch in and then again after, and then bump it to the second notch? Or just go ahead and go to the second notch before dropping in the winch?

I do not plan on doing that because I wont be doing it myself and I dont want to run up the bill. I will measure out how much they dropped from adding the sliders. When first installed they had 38in from the ground to the fender. The rear was at 39in. That was with the bumper and no sliders. Ill measure it again from the ground before I do the bump and winch.

That makes sense. Well I can't imagine the front settling more than .65" from the winch so bumping it up to the first notch should be perfect.

Update. I tried setting the clip to the second notch and putting the 888 coils back on but because I do the work myself, I had to use the floor jack method to assemble the shock assembly...shit don't work. The 888 coils is like 1.5" longer than the stock coils plus the extra little bit that the second notch adds to the overall length is way more than my comfort level will allow me to be uncomfortable. I had one of my father in laws old floor jacks pressure relief plug blow up in my face. Called it a day and put it back to first notch. Will be looking into a half inch (1" lift) spacer to put on top instead of messing with the springs. Lol

Meaures from center of hub to fender are more meaningful, as they take the tire/wheel diameter out of the equation.

Lets folks with different combos compare the suspension work apples to apples.

Yeah I get that because I also got some slightly larger tires. And some people with the same tire may be comparing, but one might have brand new tires and the other guy's are bald etc. Ive been super busy so I havent had a chance. Ill try to get that measurement today. Thank you

I heard that's a bad idea. OME coils aren't meant to work with Bilstein 5100 struts.

This is why I run OME 886's up front with no weight or bumper. Don't have to deal with this sagging shit. Do yourselves a favor next time and just run the 886's. I guarantee you the ride stiffness will be the same as with 888's or 887's. Anything not stock is going to be stiffer- you're not going to notice much of a difference between aftermarket OME coils.

Before I did my lift I was doing research here for months with people telling me I would shatter my teeth with 886's without a bumper. Yeah, right.

This is not correct. I spoke to Marie before ordering my 2885s and 5100s.

You may be thinking that most people advise against using the 5100s for lift in conjunction with an OME spring.

She kinda sells em...on her website. As @HelloMyNameIs said, you might be thinking about setting the up on a higher notch.
