    Did the whole lock break or the little piece that connects the window to the lock?

    ...We also found an ammo box - something we initially thought must be a geocache, but instead turned out to be a congratulatory note from the National Park Service, letting us know that we'd found a secret ruin - one of many throughout the monument.

    You have a 2003, so it will be a lot harder and more expensive to convert. The 2003/2004 5VZ has the ETCS-I electronic throttle system which means you can only use 2003/2004 transmissions with the ETCS-I system. That or you can do a valve body or output shaft swap.

    1995-2002 is much easier since it’s a mechanical kickdown cable. All you have to do is swap the correct transmission and drivetrain in.

    I paid around $1,500 — however for a 2003/2004 you’re going to be paying more for that special ETCS-I transmission unless you do those aforementioned modifications.

    I feel you, I have an old driveway that was built in the mid 1900s and hasn't evidently been restored or repaired much since then. It's concrete but has a gravel strip going down the middle of it which makes it a royal pain to work underneath the truck on. One time the wheels on my floor jack broke down into the concrete about 2" while lifting the truck, scared the crap out of me.

    I think the point he's making is that a 2500lb winch is way too light for these trucks, typically you want to pick a winch with a capacity that's about 2x that of the weight of your truck (some say 1.5x).

    So say you have a 4500lb truck, you want a 9000lb winch

    A 2500lb winch is for ATVs I think

    I would’ve definitely cropped my pants. I jacked mine up close to the oil pan so if that would’ve happened I would’ve went insane

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
    A useless thing is never cheap. Would have been "cheaper" to get a proper winch or not at all.
