Like I said --"good luck" I personally just don't like giving any LEO any excuse to pull me over.

    I hear you.

Around here, with no state inspection, there is probable cause for more than half of the stuff rolling down the road to get pulled over for a look-see.

In California it's required but I went slim instead of the bulky OEM.

We actually see people around Mo. taking off their front plates and putting some sort of "advertising" or "cute-saying" plates. Most cops WILL get you on those.
Besides we in Mo have to keep our prison inmates doing something!

I 100% agree with everything you said. In my case, I know I'm taking my chances with my opinion. As such.. I'm an adult and will take full responsibility if/when I have to cross that bridge.

    NRS 482.275License plates: Display.

    1. The license plates for a motor vehicle other than a motorcycle, moped or motor vehicle being transported by a licensed vehicle transporter must be attached thereto, one in the rear and, except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, one in the front. The license plate issued for all other vehicles required to be registered must be attached to the rear of the vehicle. The license plates must be so displayed during the current calendar year or registration period.

    2. If the motor vehicle was not manufactured to include a bracket, device or other contrivance to display and secure a front license plate, and if the manufacturer of the motor vehicle provided no other means or method by which a front license plate may be displayed upon and secured to the motor vehicle:

    (a) One license plate must be attached to the motor vehicle in the rear; and

    (b) The other license plate may, at the option of the owner of the vehicle, be attached to the motor vehicle in the front.

"Officer: You need a front plate.
ME: Never came with a way to attach one from the dealership.
    Officer: Yes it did.
    ME: Prove it?
    Officer: Have a good day."

Personally I make it a point to tell the dealer not to drill into the front number of any vehicle I purchase to advertise their dealership. Luckily a front license plate isn’t required in PA.

    A bunch of smalls

I'm pretty sure that all vehicles have to be manufactured to hold a front license plate, so I don't suspect that that conversation would go the way that you want it to.

You are incorrect Sir. Many foreign cars are not designed for front plates.

The DMV, the Metro Police, nor the Highway patrol have a "list" of vehicles that were or were not designed to hold a plate.

Its a hard law to enforce because of that, therefore it is often never enforced unless you area shady mofo and they need PC to stop you.

I've been in law enforcement 10+ years, and actually worked at the DMV before that. (DMV was worse job ever had in my life btw lol)

Either way, I vote no on front plates. Ugly as hell.

Officer: I am having a good day since I smell weed in your vehicle. Is that a throw down weapon behind your seat?

I went with the zip tie + adhesive foam on the back of plate route. I had intended to get some slim mount, but actually like it where it is.

That said, I've got an SVO Mustang that hasn't had a front plate on it in the 14 years I've owned it and only once was told by an officer I needed a plate (college town, probably just checking for DUIs, no warning/citation).

I usually avoid putting a front plate on even though they are required in Oregon. My BMW does not have one but I don't mind it being on my truck. I kind of like it with my ARB bumper.

I despise the front plate... It's the law in my State, so it stays on.

A little of this and a little of that.
Nope, not doing it. Luckily GA doesn’t require front plates.

I live in Virginia where we do have front plates. My dealer had to get my Cement from Johnson City, TN and when I picked it up it had the front plate mount already on it, so i guess my local dealer did that since TN doesn't.
