It is really that easy? Now I am compelled to want to look at the instructions to see just how easy it is.

Compared to Torspd mods I can see it being child's play

Oh yeah almost forgot! ********SPECIFIC TO THE FJ CRUISER*****

Got an email from @HPTuners this am! "added support for 3YWK0400 in the latest VCM Suite 4.3.575 or later"

They added support for the TRD Calibration on 2007/2008/2009 factory flashed supercharger id's.....this was available in August 2008 as an update to the original TRD Calibration and fit kit.

However, if you're like me and added the supercharger right when it came out in 2007 and early 2008, then you may find yourself with calibration id 3YWK0200, which they don't have support for yet. My HPtuner is in route, so I'll see what id I'm working with for the supercharger installed and flashed in March of '08

    calibration id.jpg

Edit, updated the original flash date to march 08

I'd love to know a little more about your pedal spacer.

I really can't see it being more difficult or more curse inducing than those Bonzen engine mounts that I installed on the truck a few years ago.

Bravo on this find and for @BassAckwards post for the instructions.

I really need to get my rear in gear and update the tips and tricks thread OP.

Its not technically difficult, just a LOT of stuff that has to come off to access the valve covers. More time consuming than anything

Doesn't look like too much more effort than swapping cams in a Dodge 4.7 years ago. Hmmmmmm

If your familiar with setting the engine to TDC and understand how the timing works, cams aren't too big a deal. If all you do is change your own oil, and burnt out bulbs, you might need more than YouTube to get it done.

The cam project was super fun. Paint them valve covers in the process! ;)

On my drive home today I’m gonna contemplate whether cam gears or headers will be first after (pretty much right now) tune. I’m looking forward to learning to tune gas motors. Was tuning diesels when efi live first came out, but have been out of the game for a while.

That is a great looking engine bay. Nice work! Custom radiator and intercooler reservoir?
