Discussion in '3rd Gen. Tacomas (2016-2023)' started by Wixo, Apr 17, 2019.

?

What would you recommend?

  1. Dobinsons, no spacer because spacers bad

  2. Dobinsons and screw it put the spacer on there it wont hurt em

  3. 5100s on the second notch are a good set up

And those would give the proper "3"" lift with a bumper and a winch?

The air temp is not the main issue, its that double tube shocks don’t dissipitate heat as well when used on washboard roads and places like that. Singles are better at it than double tubed shocks, and any shock with a reservoir can do it even more. Do nitrogen charged Dobinsons have oil in the inner tube?

I’m in San Antonio, my buddy hasn’t hand any issues.
In regards to the weight they have different springs to accommodate for that

The design seems well proven and tested though, and Im not an expert.
