Yeah i was bummed at first lol

I didnt think a new laptop would just shut down like that.. But you know 'ol murphy was lurking around the corner

Goodness, i know, when it shut down in the middle, i had already accepted my ECU would be fudged. I really got lucky.. That would've been a pita to find an ECU too. 6spd 4wds are unicorns

I had the Titan dynoed at up-rev in Austin they had their master tuner do it. He was super good with my truck I wasn’t worried after I saw his ride.

Will do. I’ve been considering getting some baselines out of curiosity. I may give them a call tomorrow and see how their time is looking.

The only thing that really worries me is that the 6spds are so damn clunky when you shift. It took me 2-3 months to figure out how to shift mine smoothly. Would like to avoid having someone who isnt familiar with how it shifts banging through the gears at high rpm. My truck also likes to grind going from 3-4 so that makes things interesting lol

They would never be hard on it for a pull and shift. Mostly ease up to speed and rev through the range of fourth gear.

No, it’s single gear roll ons to redline generally, or however you tell them you want it if your not in the seat. Things may a changed in the last 10 years but I wouldn’t think so.

Just talked to an old buddy who gave me a shop in New Braunfels to check out. Supposed to be real reasonable on his dyno fee, and pretty easy to schedule. I’m gonna give them a call tomorrow and try to get some baseline numbers so maybe we can track some of @JustDSM ‘s hard work lol. @BassAckwards I’ll let you know what I find out.

Waiting on a call back from the NB shop to see if they can get me in Friday morning. If so, my tuner should be her tomorrow, so we will see what kind of gains it can get with no other mods.

Awesome, what kind of tune you going to flash before you put it on the dyno?

Gonna make baseline runs then flash it with justdsm’s NA tune and see what it will make.

You might try scheduling two different appts so you can have the most accurate data. I would go and have the stock baseline tune done. Then after you reflash it, i'd drive the truck for a week or two and then try to go back. This will allow the truck to relearn all the fuel trims/timing once you reset the battery after reflashing your ECU with the HP tune. I've seen my truck make better numbers after driving 100-200 miles after resetting the battery

That’s a good point. The shop never called me back so I guess I may be going to bulverde. I can only do early Friday, then it will be a few weeks because I have to go back to work. It might have to wait weather I like it or not......stupid adulting.

Interesting, yeah ive never heard of them either. Their website looks alright though, and it's 100 bucks for 3 pulls on the dyno so that doesnt seem bad. Says you can purchase additional runs for 5 bucks while the truck is still strapped down

The extra pulls are what caught me. That would be awesome when really dialing in. I’m gonna call them in the morning and see what kind of vibe it get. I’m waiting to see if my kids gonna feel well enough for school and if so I may try and get my baselines tomorrow.
