Where in Denver? Downtown Denver? Denver Tech Center? Denver International Airport is still in the City of Denver.

We've got Light Rail now in Denver. Doesn't compare to the L in Chicago, or subway in New York... but if I were working in Downtown Denver every day... I might consider living somewhere that has easy access to Light Rail and taking that every day.

You want suburbs, or rural? Flat land or steep hills? Windswept prarie, or trees?

 

It depends what time you leave from Brighton to Downtown. Early like me 3-5 am you'll be fine with traffic. Any time after that sucks.

I AM helping him out! I came here looking for the exact same thing he is looking for. The thing I didnt consider, is that same place that I can afford. I left 7 acres where I couldnt see a neighbor to come here and that type of location is just NOT available for a reasonable price unless you have relatively unlimited funds. I dont. I wish someone would have been blunt with me before I came. I dont know that I would have still come.

I appreciate wanting to "help someone out", thats why I said what I said. If he is rich, or is fixin to be, come on! If not, I would not come here.

My comment wasn’t meant in a derogatory way at all. It’s irrationally stupid expensive here for what you get. If you can afford it, it’s a great place to live giving you access to a lot of fantastic areas (my favorite being MOAB). But if you can’t, moving here would be a step backward.

I’ve lived here my whole life, and it has become irrationally, stupid expensive.

 

Agree with John. I moved away for a few years and moved back thinking cost of living here was still reasonable... boy was I wrong.

 

Yup. I'm looking at houses for rent down here near Denver-ish. In Littleton a 2 bed 2 bath semi-run down single story house is like $2000/mo+. Most with single car garage.

Up in Erie/Loveland area I can get into a lot newer 2 story, 3 bed 2.5/3 bath house in a nice neighborhood for the same price. Most with 2 car garage

 

But MAN, arent trucks cool!
