Ya I've got the poly bushings in the leaf springs all around, they make a lot of noise apparently if they're not well greased

Yeah yeah I remember that you had poly bushings, didn't know you had the greasable eyebolt though. Or does the replacement eyebolt only come as greasable?
And the white lithium is okay but if you can get that actual poly bushing grease in there, that'd be the way to do it I think

yeah I used the poly grease that came with the kit but it was just a tiny little sample of the stuff, definitely wasn't enough. Once the lithium grease in my gun runs out I'll spring for some poly bushing grease.

I got the Daystar kit which comes with the whole shebang, bushings and greasable bolts

I'll be doing suspension sometime in next couple months. I want a little height, inch or two max, but I want it to ride like a dream. Actually I don't care about the height. I just want the taco to ride nice. It's not too harsh but just hella sloppy feeling.
@Sperrunner Oh it finally dawned on me up at my Pop's place over Easter that I can get this stupid nerf/step bar off so I can get rid of the 3 inch body lift. The front bar bracket is welded to frame but I can just cut through the damn chrome tube bar and leave the bracket if need be. Derp. Chrome step bars are gonna be gone real soon

Dakars ride really nice, at least they did for me. Just don't expect them to hold more than weight than what the stock leafs hold

Oh for real? That's perfect. I'm not worried about payload at all. So the Dakars then huh? Sweet. Did they give you much height?

Ah damn. Don't want that. Do you think it settles? Or is that the settled height?

That's the ride height, they're advertised as a lift pack...I dunno much about stock height aftermarket packs other than companies like General Spring makes some, but I don't know how well they ride

I know Wheeler's sells a pack that only gives 1.5" iirc...but they're at least a couple hundred more than Dakars.

Okay, I see. But the Dakars rode nice for ya? Was that going from OEM leafs to the Dakars? They took the little holes and bumps pretty good on road?

But which ride the nicest? That's really what I'm after. Shit. Wait. I guess most of that will be in the shocks huh? Wtf was I thinking?

Um so let's have that little conversation again but about the rear shocks :anonymous::bananadead:

I think the leaf springs have a bigger effect on the rear at least in my experience...the shocks are a nice added touch but stiff leaf springs will really harshen the ride. When I went from the Dakars to the Expos there was a big difference in how the rear was (got much stiffer). But I needed that to hold the weight. Had my Icons back there for both setups.

I think it's a mix of both really, having the right valved/length shocks for the right leafs

That is super valuable for me man. Thank you for saying that, about the same shocks and switching springs and noticing a big difference. Damn, I would have never guessed. But I'm sure glad to know

Dialing in suspension especially in the rear is definitely not my forte though, @Speedytech7 will be a better source of info there

yeah I think what might help me though is to get my rear shocks reworked to help with the stiff leaf springs I've got on now, so really it's a best of both worlds setup I think you want to achieve when getting the best ride in the back.
