So a lot has happened. I’ve upgraded my suspension again to Kings 2.5 mid travel with resis and Total Chaos UCAs.

Finally got around to getting a cab mount chop done.

Then we set off on a ten day adventure to the California coast.

Once we arrived back, my full front aluminum bumper and high clearance rear bumpers w/ swing out came in.

Upon arrival, I noticed one of my rear suspension airbags was leaking so decided to just get rid of it and add some wheelers bumpstops with reverse u bolts.

Love this build! With the 4.88's and the 5 speed, was it mandatory for going up to the 34s? Im only running 265/75/16's and rather leave them smaller, maybe ill go to 255/85's later on

I don’t think it’s mandatory to go up to 34s. I was running 255/75r17 and felt the RPMs were a bit high for my liking on the hwy.

Replaced my front bumpstops for superbumps and finally took off my front swaybar. Tomorrow I plan on doing a light trail run and will be driving on the hwy. I’ll report back on how the truck performs without the swaybars on and off road.

Your Taco is definitely one of the premier 3G SR's!

I've upgraded to 31's and have a SnugTop Rebel and pretty much have to bury the pedal to go up a hill now even unladen. In your experience what makes the best difference to help that? Re-gear? Header? Both?

Would 4.88's be overkill on 31's and make it rev higher or lower? Currently resting idle is 2500rpm at interstate speeds. Although cruise control likes 3500rpm for some reason.

Awesome trips and write up! Could you just drop a six in there? Your story is one many people wish they did instead of read! Great job.

This is my favorite truck on here! Do you have big future plans for more mods? I think you’ve just about done everything but put a twin case in it.

I am planning on building my 4 banger out as well. Could you tell me how much weight you've added approximately and what AAL and shocks you've upgraded to to accommodate said weight? Also how are your mpgs. Planning a east to west coast trip so trying to figure out some numbers and such. Awesome build!! Great inspiration as well.
