So your boy has better tools than most men can buy now. No good. I'll be borrowing his set.

I remember when craftsman was THE tool brand to buy. It was a sad day when they outsourced manufacturing to China and Taiwan

It’s definitely sad to see what they have become now. I have some of my father’s made in the USA craftsman ratchets still. I even bought rebuild kits for the heads just in case they ever break.

On a plus side it looks like my new fuel injectors will be arriving Friday! Not sure if they are coming with the plug n play harness or not but I am hoping so. I won’t be able to install them until I get my cam gears and talk with ovtune. It shall be a fun day admiring them though.

While it may not have been made in USA, I also bought the Craftsman puller you recommended and it did make the job a walk in the park.
+1 to all of this! Sadly, Sears sold the Craftsman (and Kenmore) name(s) some time ago, so neither is worth much any more. I also have a garage full of older (i.e., made in USA) Craftsman tools that have served me well for years. The unfortunate truth of the matter is, if you need warranty performance on any of them, it's become a goat rope and you'll get a foreign-made replacement for your trouble. (Ask me how I know!)

Being in the manufacturing industry, there’s a HUGE difference between made in Taiwan and made in China. It’s not like the good old made in the USA, but most tools these days that carry lifetime warranties like Crescent and Craftsman are out of Taiwan now.

Yeah, sometime late last year it seems like. As though Sears being bought by Kmart back in the day wasn’t bad enough.

Speaking of that, sent @JustDSM a file where I maxed out the maf and threw a code. Any idea what the range of the 4Runner maf is?

I'm letting you take care of all the heavy lifting. ;)

The 4Runner MAF on their dual VVTi model uses the same Hitachi model MAF as the Tundra, I was looking into possibly running this over the Tundra two or three days ago as the fitment would be easier at the TB end, but the issue is that the tubing is still 3" like the Tacoma. Airflow would still be topped out, so since the Tundra air cleaner uses and is calibrated for a 3.5 tube it will naturally show more airflow digitally. The only issue is that the tube is larger than the Tacoma throttle body, so adapting it without upping sizes all while appearing OE would be sort of a challenge. I might have found a possible OE looking solution for it though.

I am currently making a list of items which need updating and which even need addition to the OP of this thread. Does anyone have a request for something they'd like to see?

I will be for sure updating/ adding links etc. to the pulley section, adding HPtuners, cam gear option and instructional "how to's" regarding it, covering exhaust, and will be adding WIP to the intake section for the Tundra intake. If you don't see something you would like to see, let me know.

    Thanks guys.

Maybe some pics of coupler replacement. I have a poly unit I'm going to install at some point. Maybe part #s for parts on the blower. Ie- gasket, bearings, etc.

That part is actually covered in the maintenance link I have posted. I will, however, be doing that job here tomorrow, along with spark plugs, so I would be happy to snap some pictures along the way and put it up in the main!

Noted, bearing numbers is a copy. If anyone knows the gasket number, please shoot it my way. I have never removed the lid off of mine, and probably never will.

Put my Johnson pump in yesterday. Ha ha!
Initial first drive is that it runs cooler. More testing needed. But in a 40min commute upon arrival my coolant was exactly ambient temp. Usually a few degrees warmer. Stay tuned.

TBH I'd prefer a toolbox full of Mastercraft (Canadian Tire up here) tools over even Snap On. I don't give two shits where it's made because in general the quality is good and the warranty is walk up exchange with no receipt forever and they're open every day basically.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
No gaskets in the charger, just a sealant. The bearings and are all captured from multiple vendors off eBay or Amazon. They are listed from vendors of the Maggy and also offer maintenance and rebuild thereof. This was the vendor I bought my kit from and even offered assistance when I called about some tolerances.

I was thinking the gasket around the intercooler should it go bad. That kit is sweet!

Some part of this doesn't make sense to me. Clearly my AFE intake will flow more air than Toyota has in the calibration table. I've seen the settings in the HP Tuner software...why can't we just manipulate the values if we have a MAF that is calibrated for more air? For those of you that are familiar with orifice meters, I keep thinking that the orifice (MAF) could be larger in the same tube. I know that with an orifice meter, there is a maximum orifice diameter for a given tube so maybe that's our problem. I have no idea if there are different MAF sensors in the same 3" tube. Does it have to be a Toyota MAF?

You're 100% correct, it can be scaled and in your case needs to be. What I need though is your wideband read through the Pro Link Cable, so I can log the AFRs and create an AFR error histogram so I know where calibration is needed and by how much. In otherwords, I need more data :)

Nate at Smoothflow just asked if I wanted a 2.8 or 2.85

That .5" is just boost difference? Figured I would just go with 2.8
