If you're interested at all in part out, I'd be interested in that CBI Spare Tire carrier.

Why not keep this and do a build of something else? Maybe pick up a used LC/LX or 4Runner? Or change it up completely and restore a Supra...

I’d love to keep this truck... but being a hobby I could let this one go to a good home to start something new

But you'll spend more money starting over. You could have a used MKIII Supra for about the cost of steel bumpers. A turbo engine for the cost of a good suspension. The engine swap done professionally for the cost of a camper top, etc.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Been there, a buddy of mine blew up the diff, wheeling hard at Telico. It was no fun, and we had three more days of wheelin. I got up under his truck and took out the driveshaft, while he removed the pumpkin..or what was left.
He limped home in 4wheel, that was a tough trip.
    Spare parts..the more the merrier!

Hey folks the stuff in my for sale thread is going on liquidation. If you want any of it it’s yours free, only stipulation is that you must come get it. This site helped me a tremendous amount when I was rocking the taco, it’s my turn to return the favor. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/garage-sale.567194/

Ended up picking up a reman cv axle from Toyota last night. We compared it to the crappy O'Reilly's and you can definitely tell the difference. When you move the joint around, you can feel it (or the ball/yoke.. i am not sure really what the part is called) pop out on the O'Reilly one, and on the yota one you can't. and that is what broke twice in the last month. Thanks to everyone who helped!

When it comes to axles, oem is always the way to go. You have to pay some $$$ to get axles worth a damn. I know what others say, that you can find decent ones for cheaper. But with Axles, you do get what you pay for. Always a good idea to have a spare!

Just go slow. If you stuff a tire, or have the steering at full lock one way or the other, go easy with the skinny pedal when your crawling.
Axles don’t like to get in a bind, then have a large load put on them.

Yeah I'd think you would. How many miles are on your bilsteins?

Also one other thing is a telltale sign of an axle not liking something is when the front end is hopping. Something similar to this
