    Hello all

    Like the title said, what would be the rarest 1st gen factory Tacoma out there?

    I would guess, double cab, 4x4, e-locker, 5 speed manual, and supercharged. Is there such a bird?

    I don’t think any of them came supercharged from the factory...

    My dream first gen is still a double cab 4x4 with the 6’ bed...

    I would guess the rarest would be the single cab 3.4L V6 5 speed with the E-Locker

    I think the rarest would be a 4 cylinder with an e-locker.

    this did not ever exist i don't think
    last v6 single cabs made in 1997, and locker was addon item after '98 :confused: had to take your truck back in to get installed
    i chose against it because it was $2k or maybe $3k to get a swapout, if memory serves me

    The S-Runner seems pretty rare. Otherwise there was a variety of options/packages so certain combinations might be less common than others.

    There was just one for sale in my area. It was a 96 single cab 3.4L 5 speed with the E-Locker. Inside had all power and had a sunroof. He had the original sticker as well showing all options. It sold for $13,500, would of been cool to have, but not for that price.

    i've never seen a sunroof in a single cab!
    do you have pics of that?
    that price don't seem bad at all!
    if the rest of truck in near-excellent condition its probably worth more
    let me page a vintage 1st gen expert!
    @1997tacomav6

    I know the 4runner's had a unicorn in 1997. V6 with leather, sunroof, stickshift, e-locker, and hood scoop. Apparently that's the rarest of the t4r's 3rd gen
