I’m having an issue with my 2019 TRD Pro where my air conditioner doesn’t automatically come on when I start my truck even if it was on when I turned it off. I have to hit the auto button to turn it back on. It doesn’t do this every time I restart my truck but if it’s been off for a few hours I have to turn it back on. If I’ve missed this issue being discussed I apologize, I didn’t really feel like reading through all 144 pages.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Eating in my rig is strictly forbidden. Much to my wife's irritation.

I completely see your point and tend to subscribe to same rule, however I have yet to spill anything in my truck this is mostly because I’m hyper vigilant and are aware of my surroundings(aka not sloppy) at all times.
Either way I keep my car/truck spotless at all times.

Yup, I'm neurotic about keeping my rig clean too.

I have had other Toyotas that had a feature to close the sunroof automagically after a while after the vehicle was parked. I can't find anything in the owner's manual. Does anyone know if the dealer can make that happen? (The wife ignores the warning on the dash when you shut off the truck.)

Hi everyone, Dumb question but number #18, "There is additional space behind the driver's side rear seat compared to the rear seat on the passenger's side." is that referring to the storage underneath the bench seat in the back or am I missing something about space behind the seat?

Without knowing where you grabbed that quote from, my guess would be it's referring to the storage boxes behind the rear seats - some Tacos have a sub woofer that uses the storage space behind the passenger side rear seat.

i'm not sure who seriously is putting their groceries behind the seat. that area, to me, is long term storage for things that stay in the truck.

I grabbed it from the front page on this thread. It was number #18. I thought it meant storage as well, but that is addressed in a later point. I thought maybe the seat was shaped different and allowed for more leg room or something. I guess it is just worded strange. I have two kids 12 and 6, that sit in the back. I never noticed anything, but if there was a difference I could move my daughters booster behind me instead of behind the passenger, giving my son some more room. I am close to 6'3' and things are kind of tighter than I thought they would be even after the test drive. thanks for the reply! :)

Oh, that's the #18 you were referring to, sorry, I forgot about the list from the first post. Yea, I'm 6'4" and always feel bad for whoever has to sit behind me because I can't move my seat up.

Yea, I'm not taking the time to fold down the rear seats when I go grocery shopping. Grocery bags go on the back seats and floors.

Man 6’4”! Are you comfortable on long distances? I just called an upholstery shop, and am getting foam added to the front, and having the lumbar area replaced with denser better foam making it a bucket. $300 but it is what it is. I feel like I'm sitting on a plank of wood. It’s so solid and straight. It’s so low to the ground it messes with my back. Other than that I love it. :)

~400 miles are my longest trips and don't really have too much trouble. I will say though when I first got it I felt the driver seat was uncomfortable, so I've either gotten used to it or it's now been broken in.

Let me know how the reupholstered seat works out for you. I'd have a problem with adding more foam to the seat if it's gonna make it any thicker - my head is already close the roof.

Will do! I am supposed to ride in it for another week, then they are going to mock up some foam for the back of it. He is supposed to dig out the foam in the lumbar region and replace it with what he considers better foam. It should not raise the height to much, maybe an inch. then add some foam to the front of the seat to support my legs a bit so they are not so straight, and add foam to the thoracic area. I will follow up in a few weeks with some pictures. thanks again!

also, I didn't realize the steering wheel telescoped out another inch. that helps me tremendously. This forum is sweet!

After 10 years driving Jeeps, which have an upright seating position, I am finding my legs feel sore and tired after driving the Tacoma for one hour. I think the seats lack thigh support.

Has anyone else run into this and found a solution?

Depending on your height ½ ”, ¾” or 1” seat spacers help immensely. Some available in over 1” out there. All around $50 a set or so. I am 6’2” and ½” spacers are right for me. Makes a HUGE difference.
