Yeah the short shifter (under the green line) is just increased mechanical advantage / different location of the fulcrum to shorten the throw, but at the expense of making the shifter awkwardly tall imo.

I'm sure if welded well it should be alright - maybe even could get it tig welded by a friend on here whose an aerospace welder. :notsure:

They make heavier shift knobs that could counterbalance the loss of some weighted part of the shifter. TBH I'm thinking of removing my stock knob from my 08 because I like it better than the majority of aftermarket ones I've seen and putting an aftermarket one on it before I sell it.

2-stroke or bacon. Either one would be ideal.

I rarely post gifs but usually when I've done it on my phone I've never had an issue, just this one time using my work computer. I kept downloading the one I wanted online but it kept downloading as a .jpeg even though it was clearly a .gif. Finally got it to download correctly after the 4th try, I dunno I think it was something to do with my browser not TW

we get good computers here at work, they have some deal with Apple and we get new equipment every year or so...half the building is Apple the other half is PC depending on if you're in creative vs accounting/office management.

I always wonder what happens with the old equipment that gets sent back to Apple, do they just scrap it or recycle it for parts? Probably sell it refurbished I guess. I want to snag one someday before they send it off but...that would probably get me canned lol.
