With the big 1.05 updates, I could no longer resist. I snagged it with PayPal Credit, which nets you 6mo free financing. Also, it was just before my birthday, so that was a workable excuse that my wife had no problem with. It was by far the most extravagant birthday present I ever purchased / received.

Also, the tune kit is now $70 less that it was when I bought it.

So true. But, $700 is a lot of cash to spend. I was discussing with my wife for about a year. She was never opposed, but we both thought it was good to wait a bit. Doing that, everyone was happy.

 

Keep your eye out for people selling the cable because they sell their truck. Then buy a new registration key......will save you a few bucks.

 

I figured he might do the math than realize it only makes sense to do it the right way.

 

Start truck shopping. If she starts fearing you are gonna pull the trigger on a Raptor, she may start to believe the tune is a bargain. lol

Give up beer for a couple of months to offset the cost?

one is for the 3rd gen. one is not.

 

Or see if there's someone in your area that can load the tune for you. Just buy only the tune now, and the cable later.
