I actually do have a thing of ravioli I need to prep for my Fruita round 2 trip this weekend!

Gotta get more Zippity Do Dah laps in my life! Awesome flow trail, but lots of exposure and sharp rocks at the bottom.

I'm still not calling you dad!

Unrelated, what is your SATCOM antenna hooked into? Have I asked you already?

I'm still not calling you Son.

I have a splitter that I run and use the satcom for long range and high angle receive because it has CRAZY good reception across all bands. You don't really wanna transmit on it with a baofeng or even my Yeasu 7900 because it is meant for some serious .mil equipment in the 2-300watt range, so for HT use it registers an SWR of ~30.

Although we tested it with a buddy of mine's legit commo setup, and it works as advertised. The other issue is that if you as an average joe transmitted on the frequencies that x-wing is optimized for, your life would be over pretty quick.

We actually set a UV5R on fire after talking on the local repeater for about 30 seconds.

What kind of over pretty quick are we talking about here? Drone strike quick? Black helicopters quick? Or a knock on the door from a silenced .40? :tinfoilhat:

The FBI would come knocking pretty quick and the NSA sniffer van would be circling the block to find you.

Pirates do it all the time, but I mean if you managed to Tx with the proper crypto key.

Of all the agencies you want poking around your life, the FBI and the NSA are probably 2 of the worst. They usually don't mess around when they want to bury someone, literally or metaphorically.

The ATF is a bunch of fudds in my few interactions with them. They manage to bungle a lot of their cases, and shoot a few dogs along the way.

That said, the stuff they enforce is usually pretty cut and dry when it comes to the average joe. Usually illegal cans, SBR violations, etc.

Bruh. My research for apartment / house hunting is:

    Distance to work?
    Proximity to MTB trails
    Climbing gym?
    Trader Joes proximity?

Their breakfast burritos are awesome sauce, as are their pollo asado ones.

    My list was

    Driveway?
Does the truck fit into the garage?
Nearest gym to get my swole on?

    Everything else was trivia.
