Thanks brother, I actually bought a set of those but returned them. They are incredibly well made. I am cutting for 40s right now and completely go through the original mounting location where these sit. I had to cut both front mounts and shift back 3”. No one over 5’10” can ride up front now and no flip flops authorized Fred flint stone style.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Hey Brian, I am about to install my OG Eng Dual Battery Setup.
About to order Batteries...I see you went with a group 35 up front. Any issues sliding that jammer in?
Was debating two group 34s or rolling with what you have.
    Thoughts?

Group 35 fit perfectly. I think youd only be able to fit a 34 in the front battery location. Its a tight squeeze in the extra battery location.

You mean only fit a group 34 in the rear location? You wrote “only be able to fit a 34 in the front”. Was that a typo?

No. Off-grid recommends two groups 35s. I'm running two group 35s.

    From their website:
*The recommended batteries for this system are the Odyssey PC1400 Group 35's, Northstar AGM Group 35's or any other high quality AGM Group 35 battery in both locations.*

A group 34 in the rear location will probably be hitting the wire harness bundle since it's longer. My group 35 is already really close

    Gotcha. I appreciate the clarification.
I bought my setup awhile ago, and have been debating a few things.
A friend of mine Jay @state48overland just reminded me about using a Redarc BCDC Charger, to fully top off my AGMs as well as having an integrated MPPT controller for solar.
Thought I would share with you:

When I first watched that video, I was a believer within the first few minutes.

When it comes to dual battery setups, I'm not an expert by any means, but if anyone has any questions, feel free to shoot us a DM. Happy to help out or at least get people pointed in the right direction.

I guess my question now, is where is the video :) to show me how to connect this puppy to my dual battery setup, using the OffGrid Engineering trays and some of the wires if possible.

Does that bcdc Charger need to be in the cab? Or away from the engine bay?

I've been watching this thread.... waiting for someone with a 3rd gen and OGE set up to try it out.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-northstar-agm-battery-voltage-booster-upgrade.604478/

edit: seems to only work on the 2016 3rd gens

Where is he? I got a scanner but typically that will happen if he tried to switch into 4WD and all the their conditions are not met. I.e. vacuum actuator not engaging the CVs or 4WD Lo without being in N and instead in P.

You'll want to mount it as close to the auxiliary battery as possible, so that you don't have to worry about voltage loss over distance. It can be mounted in the engine bay.

I've included a picture of the wiring diagram.

Ok, I got a Georgia specific question for you guys.

Can a fence "move" a property line in the state of GA?

That is to say, if I put up a fence and it isn't ON the property line, but inside it, can the neighbor have legal claim over the portion on the outside of the fence?

If more clarification on what I'm asking is needed, the conversation is here:

AFAIK The property line is the property line. It isn't dictated by the location of a fence. We do land clearing and grading and we have to specifically stake out and locate property corners before we can clear. Your property is what the plot on your deed says it is.

This site kind of backs up that theory, but it doesn't directly show the law or legislation: https://statelaws.findlaw.com/georgia-law/property-line-and-fence-laws-in-georgia.html

According to this website, they can make claim to your property, but there's a 7-year rule: https://www.smf-law.com/property-boundary-line-laws-in-georgia/

I'd be interested to find the actual GA statute, but I do know from day-to-day practices in our business the property line is as staked out and per the registered plot.. fence be damned.

That is good to hear, and what I would think makes sense. Fence or no fence. FWIW, I know exactly where my property stakes are located.

West is correct. Just because you put a fence, fountain, hotdog stand or any other type of structure, your land is your land. Which is why we have the 2nd amendment.

Anyone on here live in the Gwinnett area that rides dual sport bikes? I live in Dacula and I ride a Honda XR650L. I'm looking to meet some good people to explore with. I've found quite a few trails around my area but I'm wanting to branch out with some other riders. Here's my bike:
