While at joes today I bribed him into cutting out my spare tire base plate for me on my chunk of 1/4” I brought. What would have taken me forever with an angle grinder and drill. Took less than ten minutes to design and cut on the table.

So then I got really curious because of course The Chadmeister has been around since forever, and who doesn't love math..........I did some averaging.

Been contemplating it for a long time. That and sound deadening and maybe some under-seat subs. The highs are garbage on the stock tweeters.

 

I am considering it as well. I don't care much for sound mods, but I am a fan of bang for buck/creature comfort mods. I just wanted more information on the splicing.

 

vol-52 on the entune unit and most of the highs have distortion. I like my music loud so I can jam out. Poor audio quality is a killer on ears though, especially highs.

(52 because going higher the bass starts to distort and I feel like it's running the risk of blowing the stock speakers)

 

I like loud music too. Scared the wife last night when we went out to dinner and she jumped in the truck.

 

I forget to turn it down sometimes because the song ends as I pull in the drive. Then she hops in and is like "DAMN!" and then grabs the volume like lightning.

 

I haven't got one only because use my tailgate to hang mountain bikes over, but you and @geekhouse23 make valid points on why to avoid it.
