You're welcomed to borrow mine. I've never used it, but you can check the specs here to see if it might be useful to you:
    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00W97K7O6/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You can put me down as a backup to desertjunkie. I just installed 5100's on OME springs a couple weekends ago and have the coil compressors to loan you or put them on for you. If using OEM springs I recommend you get a quarter inch 'lean' spacer. I used one with the new springs and the driver-side still sits lower, but only about an eighth of an inch. If you have over 100K, I would also recommend you get new top strut mounts; KYB SM5640 is what I got and they come with everything you need; about $30 each.

I appreciate the offer. I ended up getting them installed at a good shop down in tj for $100 with alignment. I’m a penny pincher lol

Hi everyone. I need to schedule the 5,000 mile service on my Tacoma. Which dealership service dept in San Diego do you guys recommend? I live in Clairemont, so I was thinking of taking it to either Kearny Mesa or Pacific Beach, but wanted to see what you suggest first.

Escondido Toyota has a good reputation. From my personal experience, some of their service advisers and techs are off-roaders, so they get it. The only issue I've run into was the TSS radar recall which they put on hold for me. They cited the Pro Grill as the reason, but they admitted since it's one of theirs, there should be no reason why they can't do it. They also stated that they will eventually get to it, but trying to hold off on mine until a more more permanent solution is in place vs the foam piece and goop tape.

The 5,000 mile service is a tire rotation and check the fluids type service. Since Kearny Mesa Toyota is close, they should be fine.

I agree with Norsemanvike, Toyota of Escondido does a great job. I would definitely recommend them for your 10,000 mile service and for any repair work.

I’ve been going to Larry H Miller Toyota in Lemon Grove for 3 years and they are great. Their salesmen can be a little pushy trying to get your to trade in your truck for a new taco, but their service department is wonderful and they have free donuts and coffee.

I second the Lemon Grove location although I no longer take the truck in I highly recommend asking for the service writer Judy...

I've got a 1996 Tacoma 4X4 V6 auto, all stock except for a 2 1/2" front lift and bigger tires. I live in El Cajon. I want to add a 2" (or 3" if I have to) body lift. Any recommendations on kit brand? I'm also looking for someone to install it. Shops want $850 to $1,100 installed. I'm looking to spend $500-$600 total. Does anyone on here know a mechanic that wants a side job? I'm a former mechanic and I can help with some stuff but my hands are near useless as far as work is concerned. It can be done in my driveway or your/their location. Any useful information is appreciated.

I'm new on here. I don't see a way to message him. Do I "start a conversation" or is there another way? Thank you
