I’m curious if the whiteline urethane LCA bushings some people have swapped to on the stock control arms have the same effect on ride quality that you have experienced with the new LCAs. I believe the stock rubber bushings allow the LCA to move around too much and negativity effects ride quality.

From the people I know that have done it I'd say yes, it does improve the ride.

The thing I don't like is its still the same stupid OEM design just with Poly bushings. And they don't seem to last any longer. Im hoping mine last longer due to the built in caster of the LCAs. But we will see.

Cool. So I guess it’s worth doing then. Hopefully they will also help with alignment a little. I think mine are a little seized up. This is what my cams look like. My alignment is still in spec and almost identical on both sides so I’m not sure why they’re not equal.

There’s probably a reason solo didn’t include that. Maybe a greasable bolt is weaker since it’s partially drilled out?

Yeah they should help. Pressing out the old ones will suck but its a lot cheaper than going the solo route..

    no you don't.

I mean I don't want to grease the bolt in the sleeve. I want to grease the bushings. Thats the point, they are the part that has the arm moving. The bushings also had the space in the middle for it as it they don't contact each other when pressed into the lca.

I put a lot of antiseize on the cam bolts for the sleeves which should be just fine for when I have to pull them to replace the bushings in a few years.

Yeah  I meant to go check on him this last weekend and fire him up. But didn't have time. Still looking for a house with a shop. Though have started toying with the idea of going down to Wyo a bunch this summer to get him road worthy again. Will see.

Ah I see what you're saying. True, but would still be nice to be able to put some new grease in there as they are also under pressure from mounts and usually the fact they are never straight. So it would help some.

Thought this might help. Here’s a picture of TC 3.5” LT kit for the first gen. In order to grease the inside of the bushings one bushing is short. You can see that the location of the zerk is right over the gap.

Maybe you could order some TC bushings and drill the zerk right over it like this.

My bushings are like that. Probably 1/2" gap right in the middle

No I have the solo lcas. Totally different setup of bushings.

Do the whiteline come assemble? Can you drill a hole through the poly bushing down to the inner sleeve?

It would work a lot better if you just took a little meat off one or both of the bushings.

Whatever works. Just cut or grind a little off like the picture above.

I've thought about it. You would need to drill a hole in the LCA, through the outer sleeve, and the poly so the grease could get to the inner sleeve. Not sure how well it would work, as there's no grooves in the bushing to allow the grease to work it's way down to each end.
