I'd say an s-runner with sunroof and trd exhaust and body kit. I've heard those are almost non existent anymore, don't know if those were factory options tho

Should double check next time you see him or the truck, because that would indeed make it one of the rarest 1st gens both then and especially nowadays

This is true, the TRD supercharger was always an aftermarket add on...none of them rolled off the line with them installed.

I dunno man, my doublecab has a long enough turn radius as is, I can't imagine it with a 1 foot longer wheelbase...

An F-16 at 600 knots has a tighter turn radius than that thing, lol.

Aside from just cramming a giant motor and giant axles in this rig, I guess I'm just not clear on what he plans to use it for. Going SAS, at least with my experience, means rock crawling. Having this long WB doesn't seem advantageous for crawling. Maybe TN mud runnin' type stuff, but not really rock crawling. For desert running, sure, a long wheelbase at least is not a disadvantage. This would certainly limit where you can park, lol

It will be used as a truck was intended. Hunting, hauling, 4x4ing, towing, taking the family out to dinner and back again. That piece of crap 5ft bed is useless. I'll have the best of all the worlds and the only one like it in the world.

You won't be the only one. You'll be joining the few who already venture there with a first gen dc long bed. Nice combo tho.

The other day, I saw a 2014 tundra crewmax with a long bed. Look damn funky but unique.
